New Regulations for Crib Safety

Please be aware that the US Government deadline for replacing cribs in organizations, including churches, that pay workers to care for infants is December 31, 2012.  If you have not replaced cribs, this website, U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, will guide you through the process.  The links on the right of the Crib Information Center page will be helpful for you.  The Crib Rules and pdf file from the Crib Information Center page of the U.S. Concumer Product Safety Commission.

A recent issue of Church Mutual's Risk Reporter newsletter highlighted changes to crib safety regulations and how they impact churches providing day care and nursery services. All child care facilities and places of public accommodation, such as hotels and motels, must have compliant cribs in their facilities by December 28, 2012.
