Training begins with supper at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 16 and ends on Saturday, April 17 at 3:00 p.m.

This course is designed to prepare the participant to serve as a counselor or dean in a camping ministry setting. It will cover a wide range of topics related to working with children and youth. Topics may include Safe Sanctuary policies and procedures, cyber safety, and other risk management opportunities; curriculum orientation and usage; roles and responsibilities of deans' leading worship in the camp setting; camp policies and procedures; leading a camper to Christ, group leadership skills; and being a Christ-centered camp leader. This course is designed for those planning to serve as deans or counselors for Alderstage Camp; however, much of the information shared would benefit anyone dealing with chilren and youth.
